Leo Day

We had the nicest morning with the Heather's and the boy and Jess are resting up for their rest of the Saturday. To much coffee has once again left me out of the nap circut. For those of you crazy enough to not live in Maine it is beautiful here right now. Reminds me why I am not in Australia or New Zealand which is good since days this winter made me question Jess and my sanity for staying.
Today would be Leo's birthday so I will be thinking of him all day(not too much though since I am going to have to think about giving drugs to old ladies soon). he would be loving this day and the return of the flowers. He an Mary have the most beautiful garden in Maine. It is heaven on earth. Today if you go out and do go out if you can give Leo a shout out and Mr. Kodis too.

The Famous Blue Steel Pizza Pie

Clara and Simon Stopped By

it was a nice vayhsahyt. They were home when I got back from class so I got to see Eliot and Simon Playing around on the floor together. They are so cute. For the time being they have extrememly different ways of moving and interacting with what they see though physically they are at the same point with what they can do. It is cute how they are just becoming people right before our very eyes.

Today Eliot has demonstrated to us his capacity for mobility extensively. The end result is a horde of pictures of him rolling and a lump on his head(I think). He was all over the place while Jess and I tried cleaning in various shifts. he rolled mostly to his left but has demonstrated he can go right as well. He is showing signs of bipartisan resolve already. I could not be more proud especially given the political climate in the states and his own home while he was being made.
Jess and I had a lovely walk this morning as well now that the cold has snapped making way for some more reasonable weather. We had enough of being homebound. It was especially crippling for me since I do not drive and the bitter weather made me more or less trapped inside when Eliot was intow.
The thought of putting together a baby book has begun incubating. I am thinking about starting that now so I do not forget the major dates. This blog and Jess' will be helpful in recalling the exact situations of all the major firsts Eliot had.

We had a wonderful weekend together doing not to much. Dylan, Beth, and Sabine are in town so we were psyched to see them. The Bean is so cute and walking. She hearted Dexter and Dexter loved her in his little bunny way.

A boy and his bear

This is Eliot and the funniest thing he has ever seen. It of course is the star bear of Jess' youth.
This has been a challenging week for me. I only work four days a week but on
the days off i am at school which has been discouraging to say the
least. I just barely passed my last test in microbiology. It is so hard
to work really hard on school and work hard at work. I think it is
because they are totally different kinds of hard work. AtSFSS my work ends at eleven. At SMCC there is no real optimal end point. You cannot study enough. It is just really discouraging. SMCC
and this professor just do not teach in a way that makes me fascinated
with their lessons like other classes I have been in. His approach to
the subject is just to fragmented and nonlinear.
Eliot continues to be the best part of every day. He is beautiful and always is doing new cute things that make my heart hurt just thinking about them. He
thinks I am quite funny and entertaining so he often will just look at
me with this big toothless grin. There is no drug that makes you feel
as good as one of smiles. In fact there is nothing that is as good as
one of his smiles.
