the snow is coming in sheets

after work I realized I had worn my trainers with holes in the tops. THey were less than ideal for walking in and I had to ask missy to put her lief in danger to drive me half a mile. Felt bad but am glad to be home without being soaked. I am going to have to buy them supper sometime.
I have been a bit under the weather mood wise these days. this feb. has been getting under my skin and causing a mild bu annoying depression. I am hoping that drawing and eventually painting again will help me through it. that is ususally the cycle for me.

Absolutely nothing happening

Eliot and Jess got sick over the last few days and I nursed them back to health. It was fun to hang with them all day for a couple of days but I have missed going out. I really was hoping I could get out tonight but it is looking like that is not going to happen. The snow is coming down like crazy and everyone else has the sense to stay at home. I just want to play a game of darts. maybe eat some wings but just a game of darts.
right now I am listen to a very creative album by jayzee. it is called the gray album. It is rap and beatles mixed together. It is really neat to hear that rare gem out there when it comes to contemporary music.

Photos to cry about

When I see these photos I absolutely have the urge to tear up and cry. He is growing so fast. It is disorienting to have him growing so fast. It is hard to say goodbye to each lovable stage.

This whole series came out really well. I can't wait for Pauly to get some copies

Paul has that rare quality that is just so fun to watch. he is just a magician with kids. I regret not being able to see him in New York teaching his classes. These photos really convey how Eliot react ed to Paul's magic

As I listen to a valentines day radio post...

Jess and I called a truce on St. Valentines day this year. It was deemed so because it is one of those holidays you really want to resist. The whole nature of such a Hallmark event is just a bit to nauseating to follow along with when moneys tight. Also last valentines day found me reliving our first night of meeting one another. I drew a profession of my love for jess one my chest in dry erase.
This beginning of the episode makes me want to wax poetic

Maize being otherworldly cute

A rakishly tilted fedora for the boy.

Outback hat for the boy

This weeks photos

This device in the toddlers section blows air and levitates balls stuff. Eliot loves it.

Eliot is much more interested in the make believe aircompressure than the car or gas pump.

Steve and Sabine came with us and had a great time running around.

At the children's museum Eliot likes to pick apples and shop.

The boy tries his first kick flip. The living room has become a skate park.

Some older pictures from Tim and family

These pictures of the beach on Cape Cod do nbot take the edge off of the winter as I had hoped they would. Hateful summer

Hot mama

Eliot keeps little Kevin busy with a rousing game of tug o stick

1) How Many Gardell- Verry's does it take to screw together a grill?
2) Should they be allowed to use things with fire involved.
3) Isn't a grill a bad place to seat a baby?

Eliot is laughing at something hilarious. Any guesses?

This is Eliot on his first birthday riding his little horsey. This is a unique photo because he is clothed and sitting. Usually Eliot preferred to stand on the horse in the nude.
Eliot is always one to get into the guitare action. he loves to dance too. Once I get the video camera set up I will stream films of him dancing. He especially loves to rock out to the little turtle at grammy Verry's house.

I would like to thank my mom for individually wrapping every damn piece of clothing separately with excessive amounts of tape. i am still finding pieces of it in Eliot's mouth from time to time. Just wait mom. Next time you come for dinner I will return the favor. Perhaps you would like me to separately package your peas.

My girlish high school/ college figure is long since gone. Now I cannot even do a pull up. Jess was nearly in tears watching me struggle into this make shift hammock. I would have liked to have seen her try....

the Boy looks out on a very cold city. Sometimes he stays inside on days like this and it is hard. we have to be very creative about ways to get out his need to be outside without going outside. I wish there were an indoor dag park or something. The halls of seventy five State street have to make do.

Hellooooo

A very sassy pose looking thoughtfully out the window. As if to say" I don't give a care"

Eliot is Proficient at using the Mouse if by ising the mouse you mean throwing it.

Sorry friends and family for not blogging in so long. have been doing lots of other things besides so life has been pleasently busy. Today Jess, Eliot, Dexter, and I enjoyed a nice morning at home. We also went out to grammy Verry's house to say hello and get some Dexter food. All is well out there. We came home and Jess did some sewing which went well. She is really creating some fantastic work. I hope she gets some deals with other shops so she can be in more places than just Portland. It seems there are so many fantastic vacation communities with baby boutiques. They would not compete with Ms. Lulu's but would be a fresh venue for Jess.
I have been thinking of my own art as of late. hopefully i will find time for it. I have been very inspired by some work in and around Portland. Eliot and I enjoy going to art openngs around the city and seeing what is out there.

Home Sweet Home

This is a pisture of the house I grew up in on Storey St. Boy, the more things changed the more they stayed the same. Strip mall after strip mall, Augusta can't seem to get enough. Thank you target for getting us out of there when you did.

Last weekend was fun. I took and extra day off with the family and enjoyed it immensely. I wish I could do that more often. The work has me over a barrel most of the time these days. they are threatening layoffs but in an underhanded way. They will not let me switch back and forth between 32 and 40 hours and consequently are pissing me off. I can't wait to be a nurse. Then I will have the administration more where I want them: as administrators rather than despots.

Hello all my lovely friends and family. I am having a great night. Just visited with Clara who is due with her second baby in three weeks. She looks great and Simon is really charming. he and Eliot kept us busy and amused for quite some time with their shinannegins. They did not get along all that well. Eliot was kind of in Simon's space to much and was way grabby. It resulted in a whole lot of crying once the two reached tired land.
Jess and I had all day to enjoy our rare family time. She is headed off to bed soon and I am going to meet up with Dave over at this thing they are doing at the big hotel down of wharf street. it is called and ice bar and apparently is quite cool. They make a whole bar out of ice and use it to chill the drinks. I will post pics of it tomorrow so any of you in the area can see if it is your thing.
Last week went by in a flash. I worked and took today off so I worked one less day this time around. It is great to toss one of those in every now and then. I hope all of you are having great times as well. I( perhaps will update this very evening if there is any ice induced hilarity. toodles
